Ps 57,8 Wache auf, meine Ehre/ Seele, wache auf, Psalter und Harfe! Mit der Frühe will ich aufwachen.

Ps 58,1 Ein gülden Kleinod Davids, vorzusingen, daß er nicht umkäme. Seid ihr denn stumm, daß ihr nicht reden wollt, was recht ist, und richten, was gleich ist, ihr Menschenkinder?

Ps 58,2 Ja, mutwillig tut ihr Unrecht im Lande und gehet stracks durch, mit euren Händen zu freveln.

Ps 58,3 Die Gesetzlosen (= ELBERFELDER) sind verkehrt/ abgewichen von Mutterschoß an; die Lügner irren von Mutterleib an.

KJV + EL = The wicked/ the lawless are estranged from the womb: They go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

Ps 58,4 Ihr Wüten ist gleichwie das Wüten einer Schlange, wie die taube Otter, die ihr Ohr zustopft,

KJV + EL = Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: They are like the deaf adder that stops her ear;

Ps 58,5 daß sie nicht höre die Stimme des Zauberers, des Beschwörers, der wohl beschwören kann.

KJV + EL = Which will not listen to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

Ps 58,6 O Gott [Elohim], zerbrich ihre Zähne in ihrem Maul; zerstoße, O JAHWEH, das Gebiß der jungen Löwen!

KJV + EL = Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: Break out the great teeth of the young lions, O YAHWEH.

Ps 58,7 Sie werden zergehen wie Wasser, das dahinfließt. Sie zielen mit ihren Pfeilen; aber dieselben zerbrechen.

KJV + EL = Let them melt away as waters which run continually: When he bends his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

Ps 58,8 Sie vergehen wie die Schnecke verschmachtet; wie eine unzeitige Geburt eines Weibes sehen sie die Sonne nicht.

KJV + EL = As a snail who melts, let every one of them pass away: Like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.

Ps 58,9 Ehe eure Dornen reif werden am Dornstrauch, wird sie ein Zorn so frisch wegreißen.

KJV + EL = Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.

Ps 58,10 Der Gerechte wird sich freuen, wenn er solche Rache sieht, und wird seine Füße baden im Blute des Gesetzlosen (= ELBERFELDER),

KJV + EL = The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance: He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked/ the lawless.

Ps 58,11 daß die Leute werden sagen: Der Gerechte wird ja seiner Frucht genießen; es ist ja noch Gott [Elohim] Richter auf Erden.

ELBERFELDER 1871 = Und der Mensch wird sagen: Fürwahr, es gibt Lohn für den Gerechten; fürwahr, es gibt einen Gott [Elohim], der auf Erden richtet.

KJV + EL = So that a man shall say, Truly there is a reward for the righteous: Truly there is an Elohim that judges in the earth.

Psalm 59

Ps 59,1 Ein gülden Kleinod Davids, daß er nicht umkäme, da Saul hinsandte und ließ sein Haus verwahren, daß er ihn tötete. Errette mich, O mein Gott [Elohim], von meinen Feinden und schütze mich vor denen, die sich wider mich setzen.

Ps 59,2 Errette mich von den Übeltätern und hilf mir von den Blutgierigen.

Ps 59,3 Denn siehe, JAHWEH, sie lauern auf meine Seele; die Starken sammeln sich wider mich ohne meine Schuld und Missetat.

KJV + EL = For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: The mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O YAHWEH.

Ps 59,4 Sie laufen ohne meine Schuld und bereiten sich. Erwache und begegne mir und siehe drein.

KJV + EL = They run and prepare themselves without my fault: Awake to help me, and behold.

Ps 44,24

Ps 59,5 Du Gott [Elohim], O JAHWEH Zebaoth, Gott [Elohim] Israels, wache auf und suche heim alle Nationen (Heiden); sei der keinem gnädig, die so verwegene Übeltäter sind. (Sela.)

Ps 59,6 Des Abends heulen sie wiederum wie die Hunde und laufen in der Stadt umher.

KJV + EL = They return at evening: They make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

Ps 59,7 Siehe, sie plaudern miteinander; Schwerter sind in ihren Lippen: „Wer sollte es hören?“

KJV + EL = Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: For who, say they, does hear?

Ps 59,8 Aber du, O JAHWEH, wirst ihrer lachen und aller Nationen (Heiden) spotten.

KJV + EL = But you, O YAHWEH, will laugh at them; you will have all the nations in derision.

Ps 2,4

Ps 59,9 Vor ihrer Macht halte ich mich zu dir; denn Gott [Elohim] ist mein Schutz.

KJV + EL = Because of your strength will I wait upon you: for Elohim is my high tower.

Ps 59,10 Gott erzeigt mir reichlich seine Güte; Gott läßt mich meine Lust sehen an meinen Feinden.

KJV + EL = My Elohim with his lovingkindness will meet me: Elohim will let me see my desire upon my enemies.

Ps 54,9

Ps 59,11 Töte sie nicht, daß es mein Volk nicht vergesse; zerstreue sie aber mit deiner Macht, O JAHWEH, unser Schild, und stoße sie hinunter!

KJV + EL = Kill them not, lest my people forget: Scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O YAHWEH our shield.

Ps 59,12 Das Wort ihrer Lippen ist eitel Sünde, darum müssen sie gefangen werden in ihrer Hoffart; denn sie reden eitel Fluchen und Lügen.
