As this is an international conference with participants from many different countries, we are providing simultaneous interpretation from/into four languages, German, English, French and Spanish.

There are interpreters present and translation services are available in(English, German, etc.).

Those who have difficulty following the discussion, please indicate this to our staff. They will make sure you have headphones so that the translation can be made available to you.

The headphones you will find at your seats allow you to hear the desired translation on Channel 1 for German, Channel 2 for English, etc.

There is a channel selector knob on these receivers which you can use to choose the language you wish to listen to.

If you wish to ask a question, please speak into the microphone.

When you speak, don´t wait for the interpretation. Please continue as people can understand and follow the interpretation.

When you are not speaking, please turn off your microphone / mute your line.(stumm schalten, z.B. bei Telefonkonferenz).

Please note that you are personally liable for the return of the headphones and we kindly ask you to pick them up and hand them over to the hostesses in the conference office at the end of each conference day. They can then be recharged and ready for use again during the next conference day.

An overhead projector for your viewfoils, flip charts with moderation cards / note cards / and markers, pinwalls, pinboards, a whiteboard and copyboard as well as blackboards (US: chalkboards) will be available for the speakers.(Overhead-Projektor, Prokifolien; Moderationskarten, Notizkarten, Markierstifte, Weißwandtafel, Wandtafel, Kreidetafel)

If you wish to use your laptop computer with a data projector or beamer, you should take into account any necessary boot-up or warm-up times of your hardware.

Power Point slides and other visual aids will be available to reinforce your key points and help the audience stay focused on the important details.(visuelle Hilfen, wichtige Punkte hervorheben)

Several copying machines and scanners in the hall and in the conference office will be at your disposal.

If you need to dispose of any waste paper and documents, you are welcome to use a shredder in the conference office.

Please take all of your papers with you when you leave the conference room.

You can leave your papers in the conference room. It will be locked during the lunch break.

You are requested to check off the list of attendees during the course of the meeting.

Street parking is available in the area around the Conference Center. There are about 2,000 spaces within walking distance.

Visitor parking is not available in this building. There is, however, a 2000-space parking garage(Parkhaus) right across the street, which is the most convenient parking area in this neighborhood.

A 500-space underground public parking garage provides well-lighted, weather-protected parking.

Handicapped parking spaces are available.

Overnight parking in the garage by permit only.

Overnight parking in the garage is prohibited.

Do not back into stalls. Vehicles must be parked front in only.

The maximum daily rate to park is 15 euros.

Metered street parking is available in some areas around the building.

Parking meters are enforced Monday through Saturday.

As we are located in the city centre, there is a range of transport options available to you to get you to and from the Conference Centre.

Vor dem Einstieg in die eigentliche Tagesordnung, gibt der Vorsitz gelegentlich Hinweise auf bestimmte gesellschaftliche Ereignisse, z.B. Grusskarten oder Blumen an Teilnehmer, die sich z.Zt. im Krankenhaus befinden, Aufrufe für Spenden für soziale Zwecke, Bekanntgabe von freudigen Ereignissen, wie Geburtstage oder Eheschließungen. Oder von weniger freudigen Ereignissen, z.B Todesfällen.

Der Vorsitzende fragt die Teilnehmer, ob sie in dieser Hinsicht Wünsche vorbringen möchten.
