As the stewardess collected their breakfast trays Fiona glanced out to where Paul had been looking. Hundreds of little lights gleamed up from Heathrow through the dull, rain streaked sky. Of course! She knew the answer. Someone was down there waiting for him! At last he had remembered. What a fool she’d made of herself. For heaven’s sake, he’d only been trying to cheer her up!
