An EXPERIMENT with FALSE MEMORY:
Hand the test subject a piece of paper listing a very long number. For example, something similar to this: 164839244312673, 778241983711893. Tell the subject: «Please read and memorize this number. Once I take the piece of paper away after a few seconds, you will have memorized the entire number and can write it down.» Then take the piece of paper away from the test subject and say: «And now you are able to write down the entire number without errors just from memory.» Remember: Each suggestion must be canceled by a counter-suggestion.
An EXPERIMENT with FALSE PERCEPTION:
Tell the VP the following while handing him or her a peeled onion: «I am giving you here a nice, juicy apple! Eat it, you will love its taste and it's good for you!» The subject will think of the onion as an apple and actually eat it like an apple. A counter-suggestion is here not required since no effect continues after the action has been completed.
An EXPERIMENT with POST-HYPNOSIS:
You can also use a subject and post-hypnosis, an action that is to be carried out at a later time. Example: «Call me at 8 in the evening to tell me that you cannot visit me tomorrow. When I ask you why you cannot come, you tell me you don't have time!» Remember: All these experiments must have a clearly defined effective start and end of a suggestion. Never allow an effect to continue after the hypnosis without first canceling with a counter-suggestion.
The listed experiments were just a small excerpt from the many possible hypnosis techniques.
Moreover, you can also use your own creative ideas to develop and carry out new and interesting experiments. The number of fantastic possibilities is endless once your have learned the methods provided by the Modern Hypnosis Technique instructions.

The seventh suggestion exercise

During this exercise the TP should have bare hands, therefore ask the TP to remove any rings. Stand in front of the TP and say to him/her: “Please place your hands together, like this.” (At the same time, show the TP how – ill. 10shows you exactly how). “ Look straight into my eyes and clasp your hands together tightly.” (Now take the TP’s hands, as shown in ill. 11, press them together tightly and, whilst holding the TP’s gaze, firmly say:) “ Press your hands together firmly now --- very firmly --- more firmly. ---” (While doing so, let go of the TP's hands). “ The more you press your hands together, the more your fingers will clasp each other --- more and more --- now your hands are pressing each other tighter and tighter together --- ever tighter and tighter --- now” ( at this point change your body position to that in ill. 12) “ your hands are clasped tightly together, your fingers are very tightly clasping each other. You cannot part your hands anymore. It doesn’t work! Try it! It doesn’t work! The more you try, the tighter your fingers clasp each other. Try harder! It doesn’t work --- you cannot do it!”

When the TP has tried in vain for a few seconds, end the exercise with the following words: “Now!” (At the same time, take the TP's hands again as shown in ill. 11, but do not press anymore.) “ Now part your hands again. It is very easy. You are completely wide-awake! You feel fine! The exercise is over!”

Once you see that the TP actually is separating his/her hands, say quickly: “Now it works! But it is very difficult! Isn’t it? The next time it will be even more difficult." After that you can repeat the experiment and it will function better if you are using a suitable TP.

In ill. 12you can see how dynamic the whole body position should be. This forces the TP's self out of the center of consciousness and helps to give stronger emphasis to your words. This stance is not so important with excellent TPs. Whilst you are still a beginner it is important, for only when you have carried out several exercises will you be able to create the intended effect through words alone.

The transition to hypnosis techniques

With the following exercise we are already entering the area of hypnosis technique, for when you have achieved this, you need only say to the TP: “And now go to sleep ---- deeply and soundly ---" etc. and the TP will then actually go into a hypnotic state.

Stand close to the TP and say the following: “Close your eyes. ---.“ (When this happens, place your fingers on the TP's forehead as shown in ill. 13.) “ Keep your eyes firmly closed and move your pupils upwards exactly as if you were looking through your forehead at my fingertips. --- Keep your eyes tightly closed and keep looking upwards. Now you feel your eyelids becoming heavier and they close even more tightly, more and more tightly. Your eyelids are now tightly closed together, they are becoming heavier and heavier and they are closing tighter and tighter, tighter and tighter! --- When I say to you in a few seconds that you should try to open your eyes, you will discover that this is very difficult to do, very difficult, for your eyelids are closed as tightly as if they were glued together. Your eyelids feel as heavy as lead and are stiff and firmly closed. --- Your eyes are closed as tightly as if they are glued together, very tightly glued together --- your eyes are tightly closed --- very --- tightly --- closed --- very --- tight. You can no longer open your eyes. Try it! It doesn’t work! You can’t do it! --- The more you try, the tighter your eyelids close together! Try it! IT DOESN’T WORK!”

To end the experiment, say: "I am going to count to three and then you can open your eyes again. You will feel well, very well! One --- two --- THREE! You can open your eyes again. You are now wide-awake and feel refreshed and alert!” If you notice during the experiment that the TP can open his/her eyes, say quickly: “Now it works! But it is very difficult, isn’t it? On the next attempt it will be even more difficult!"

Then try it once more and, if you have a reasonably good TP, this attempt will definitely succeed.

Should a TP be afraid that he/she will be hypnotized without his/her knowledge and against his/her will in this exercise, (which you may not do, as it could be interpreted as deprivation of personal liberty and can be subject to prosecution!) then say: “I will not yet hypnotize you in this experiment!” In this way you remove any fear and yet do not give any counter-suggestions. If, however, you were to say: “I will not hypnotize you!” this could represent a counter-suggestion for later hypnosis experiments.

However, as you say: “I will not yet hypnotize you in this exercise!” you keep hypnosis open for a later experiment. You can see from this how important individual words can be. Now we have reached the end of the first part. If you want to become a proper hypnotist, please do not continue to the second part of this self-study method before you have completely and fully mastered this first part, in both the theory and the practice. The exercises featured have been chosen specially so that they are completely sufficient to give you knowledge of the fundamentals of the suggestion technique and are actually so simple that, if you follow the correct sequence, you will undoubtedly accomplish them.

Now we are going to start with the practical work. Study the individual lessons in-depth. Mark everything that seems particularly important to you with a red pen. After you have studied everything twice, then you can begin with the exercises. As I have already explained to you, it is a good idea to carry out imaginary exercises first, that is, exercises with imagined and visualized TPs, who are not present in person. This type of practice will make you more familiar with the exercises and will give you the confidence necessary to carry them out later with TPs.

Part II

Lesson 7

If I commence the 7 thlesson with a warning, I am not doing it because I want to give you a moral sermon. No! I would only like to warn you against carrying out the exercises and experiments described in this book thoughtlessly or when you are under the influence of alcohol.

If you are going to carry out experiments, then please only carry them out to obtain experience and knowledge. Please never carry them out to impress or do a favor for friends and acquaintances. Experiments that are of value to you are justified, but never those that only serve to satisfy curiosity and to gain prestige. Such experiments should be refused.
