“Sure, let's see, anyway, talk to Sofi first to see if she feels like it,” said Aquiles.

“Of course, of course, I’ll do,” said Marina.

Aquiles finished his breakfast and went into the bathroom. Marina put everything on the tray and left it on the counter next to the sink.

On Mondays and Thursdays, the house cleaner comes to clean up the apartment, so Marina took the opportunity to accumulate clothes and things to wash, which she feels lazy to take care of.

Aquiles left the bathroom and went to the dressing room; he chose a navy-blue suit, white shirt, dark blue tie, black leather belt, and shoes of the same color.

He hated formality and having to wear a coat and tie, but sometimes he couldn't escape from the imposed social rules, and today was one of those days of meetings when he could not get away. Although it was still spring, Aquiles had always thought about how ridiculous it was to have to walk of Buenos Aires street in the middle of summer, with perhaps 35º C, wearing a jacket and tie, when everybody could do the same work, wearing short sleeves shirts, or T-shirts and bermudas.

While he was ranting internally about these cultural issues, he prepared the clothes on a hanger and kept them in their respective cases. Aquiles took off his boxers and put on a black sport tight and a white short, a light gray tank top, a lightweight sweatshirt, sports stocks, and running shoes. Put a pair of towels inside his sports bag, the blue socks that matched the suit, the shoes, the tight dark blue long leg boxers, flip-flops, and just in case, a pair of sport shirts. He made sure he had the shampoo bottle and the soap in another waterproof bag inside his sports bag.

He grabbed his sports bag, folded over the other arm the cover that contained the hanger with the suit and shirt, went to the daily dining room to greet Marina, and left the apartment, making his way to the parking.

He arrived at the Gym, said routine greetings at the front desk, and headed to the locker room to leave his belongings in a locker. He went upstairs, grabbed his exercise sheet, and started his Monday routing.

Beyond cordial greetings to the instructors, whom he used to meet every morning, he did not intend to engage in conversation with anyone. His time was quite limited, and he wanted to use it to exercise his muscles.

He finished his routine, poured a glass of water from the dispenser, and went to the changing room for a quick shower. Opened his locker, grabbed his sports bag, and leaned it on a bench; he pulled out his flip-flops, his waterproof bag, and a towel. He began to undress, placing each sweating clothing inside a plastic bag intended for that purpose.

Aquiles went to take a shower and observed two men, both on the same line but with an empty cubicle in between. As a courtesy, he waved and placed it in a compartment, crossing the corridor. The showers' sides were separated, but there was no chance to close the front side, so men could see those who were showering on the opposite side. That was the situation at that moment, when Aquiles, not thinking on it, had installed himself in a shower from which he could see the two naked guys in front of him.

He opened the water taps without paying any attention, and quickly, a good flow of warm water started to flow. The sensation of water falling on the body that was tense by weights working was comforting, and for a moment, Aquiles concentrated on perceiving this pleasure. He began to soap his body and then poured shampoo over his head. He massaged his scalp, keeping his eyes closed to prevent soap from entering.

When he opened his eyes, he could see that the other guy had occupied the shower between the other two, right in front of him. The man looked him straight in the eyes and greeted him. Aquiles replied with a cold greeting, turned off the water taps, tied the white bath towel around his waist, and headed for the benches.

As he entered the bench area, he saw the two guys who were previously in the showers, still naked and drying themselves with their towels, talking fluently. Another two entering from the Gym and starting to undress.

Aquiles took off his towel, dried himself, put on his tight boxers, and went to the locker to look for the sheathed hanger that contained his suit.

He continued dressing, not paying too much attention to his surroundings and began to focus his mind on the issues they would raise in the meetings that would start shortly. He arrived at the office parking lot and met Marcos, who was already getting out of his car. He turned off his car engine and opened the trunk to get his case.

“Hello, homie,” said Aquiles, addressing Marcos.

“Hello, handsome,” said Marcos, adding, “You look like a dandy.”

“I do my best,” said Aquiles.

“You went to the Gym, didn't you? I must return urgently because my belly is starting to show,” said Marcos.

The fact was that the most fanatical about sports and keeping fit was Adrián and Aquiles, yet Félix and Marcos kept well beyond the typical belly of a middle-aged bourgeois family man.

“Don't be lazy and start in the morning with me... otherwise, the day will pass, and you'll always find an excuse not to go,” said Aquiles.

They went to the elevator, greeted the staff, and entered his office on the premise that they would be in the meeting room in fifteen minutes.
