In some trisyllabic neuter nouns stress shift also takes place, in one direction or the other, e.g.

r moving one syllable towards the beginning of the word. Thus рeмeсло´
has plural рeмёслa, рeмёсeл, etc.;
r moving from the first syllable to the ending. Thus зe´ркaло, mirror , кру´жeво, lace , and о´блaко, cloud , have зeркaлa´, кружeвaánd облaкa´, etc., respectively (except that кру´жeвоhas genitive plural кру´жeв; NB
