Carol Rose GoldenEagle(previously Carol Daniels) is a Saskatchewan author of the novel Bearskin Diary , chosen as the Aboriginal Literature Title for 2017 and shortlisted for three Saskatchewan Book Awards in 2016. Her French-language translation of the same novel, Peau D’ours , won the 2019 Saskatchewan Book Award, Prix du livre français. Her first book of poetry, Hiraeth , was shortlisted for a Saskatchewan Book Award in 2019. GoldenEagle is an Aboriginal artist, multi-disciplined in the areas of writing, storytelling, singing, drumming and visual art.
