This chapter contains some of the BEST and most fun recipes in the book. One of the HG rules (and there aren't many!) is that you should, in general, avoid drinking tons of calories. Chewing and swallowing food is more satisfying than sipping stuff through a straw. But that doesn't mean you have to write off decadent drinks. The key is to find that balance—stick with shakes and smoothies that taste great yet top out at about 200 calories or less (especially if they're just snacks!). You'll find plenty of those right here. Some of the recipes actually beat out high-calorie versions in side-by-side taste tests (this is 100 percent true). Try 'em out and see for yourself!
