I am asexual. I made the discovery in April 2011, after years of thinking that I just wasn’t any good at being straight. I’m a cismale with a currently undetermined romantic orientation that lives somewhere close to aromantic, but with just enough heteroromantic touches sprinkled into it to keep things confusing. I currently live outside of Seattle and work in the software industry.

Then, of course, there’s pansexuality and non-binary genders and all manner of other sexuality and gender identity related issues that would be impossible to enumerate here.

“Ace” is a colloquial abbreviation for “asexual”. Many asexuals will use this term to refer to themselves or other asexual people. It’s essentially the asexual equivalent of “gay“ or “straight“.

Although that sort of thing would be an awesome trick for parties.

BTW, in case you’re wondering, XONOX was a company that made uniquely-shaped double ended video game cartridges for the Atari 2600. It has absolutely no relation to asexuality, I just needed a nonsense word and that’s what popped into my head, because that’s just the kind of nerd I am.

On top of that, it doesn’t really matter if something was done to lower my effective fertility, since there’s plenty of people with reality TV shows that are more than making up for me.

Although CLEARLY, cake is better. I mean, seriously, pie ? Come on!
