Fit Lt John Peters joined the RAF in 1980 as a university cadet and graduated from Manchester University in 1983. He flew a Tornado GR1 for the majority of his career, serving on XV and 31 Squadrons and then became an instrucxstor pilot at the Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment. In 1997 he completed a Master’s degree in Business Administration, was promoted to Squadron Leader and worked in the Ministry of Defence on flight safety and human performance. Through this experience, he left the RAF in 2000 to found a performance coaching consultancy, uph, specializing in developing high-performance leaders and teams ( www.uphltd.com) and was Chair of the International Management Board of the Association of MBAs. He has extensive TV, radio, PR and media experience and has built up an international reputation as an inspirational speaker. John was the sole reader representing the British Armed Forces at the National Gulf Memorial Service, in front of Her Majesty the Queen and Heads of State and has followed Nelson Mandela on stage in South Africa. He is married to Helen and has two children, Guy and Toni.
