What happens when you combine Russian billionaires, a crazy president and nuclear weapons?… World War III. Only one man can stop it, former Navy SEAL, John Denning. Ripped from today’s headlines, this military thriller picks up where Tom Clancy left off.
John Denning (JD) has no idea a routine assignment will bring him to the edge of a nuclear war with Russia. This FBI Special Agent and former Navy SEAL, travels to Ketchikan, Alaska to take a small time felon into custody and return him to Portland, Oregon to stand trial.
Taking a boat to an abandoned mine and far from cell phone service, JD is ambushed by ten professionals in full SEAL team gear. JD is forced deep into a uranium mine by a sophisticated Russian military operation on American soil!
But why would Russia risk war with the United States of America?
A Russian, Typhoon class, ballistic missile nuclear submarine and Iranian terrorists are only two of the many obstacles JD faces to stop total devastation of North America. And practically no one else has a clue.
Can JD single-handedly stop the Russians and the Iranians from starting World War III? Only JD, in his own words, can tell you.

Then I made a really, really, dumb move. I texted Denning’s phone:

NOT TO WORRY.

FBI & SERT ON THE WAY!

I hit send.

Only then does it cross my mind:

Maybe that wasn’t such a good idea.”

Bokan Mountain

Russian Command Center

A GRU officer stands from his monitor and walks to General Victor Zelin, interrupting him with John Denning’s phone in his hand.

The Special Forces team had JD’s phone hooked up to their antennas on top of Bokan Mountain and had signal amplifiers monitoring every frequency in the area.

The GRU officer walks up to General Zelin and says,

“We have a problem sir. Local police and Special Forces are on their way.”

“How much time?”

“Depends on where they’re stationed. We probably have at least a few hours but local police…”

“I don’t care about the local police. Tell Moscow we’re locking up the mountain.”

“Yes, sir.”

General Zelin looks over to another soldier at a nearby monitor.

“Where are the Iranians?”

The GRU radio specialist says, “They’re here.”

“And the American?”

“We’ve searched this entire facility multiple times. Cameras show him leaving.”

General Zelin now looks at, Boris Babkin, who helped design the facility,

“Somehow he got in and somehow he got out? How?”

Babkin quickly answers, “He exploited the ventilation systems in some of the old mining veins. Those are now all locked down.”

“We designed this fortress to withstand a direct nuclear attack.”

“No one is getting in or out now.”

“Good! Let’s keep it that way,” says the general.

On the largest screen in the center of the room appears President Ivan Mironovich and he doesn’t look happy. Viktor Sokolov is standing just behind the president.

General Zelin comes to attention as his president speaks.

“General Zelin, am I to understand two FBI agents are on the loose in my facility?”

General Zelin is a bit nervous. A single bead of sweat rolls down his plump, pasty white cheek as he attempts to hide his high anxiety.

“Everything is under control here Mr. President. There is only one FBI agent still on the loose. We have secured the entire facility. The Americans couldn’t blast their way in here if they wanted to.”

The president forcefully says, “I am taking control of your operation. The suitcase codes have all been changed. Hold out as long as you can. We will attempt to make an exchange and bring you home.”

“We will not let you down, Mr. President. The American will be captured at any time now,” the general says.

President Mironovich doesn’t want any of it, “If you come home, you will be tried for incompetence.”

The president disconnects himself not wanting to hear any more bad news.

General Zelin reacts to this news by staring at the blank screen, frozen in place.

Pond Bay

Duke Island, AK

Two small rubber boats from The Cod-Father fishing trawler with several Iranians aboard sits silently in the waters of Pond Bay. A floatplane appears off the starboard bow and slides into the black waters of a full moonlit night.

As the plane pulls up to the fishing trawler the charter pilot kills his engine.

MMA and two “friends” are aboard the plane. MMA opens the passenger door.

Two Iranian men toss a rope as the pilot glides the plane near the boat.

MMA and his friends are all in their twenties.

The Iranians are all smiles as they welcome their friends.

Three beautiful Russian women meet MMA and his two friends. One of the women get on the plane with MMA as two of MMA’s friends get into one of the rubber boats.

Each Russian woman sexily wraps her arms around her man.

The men are infatuated.

After some small talk the Iranians give MMA two suitcases.

They say goodbye.

MMA takes his two suitcases (The money and a nuke) his new bride, closes the door of his floatplane and flies into the darkness.

Kendrick Bay

The Iranian sub and the two commercial fishing trawlers, King of The Crabs and The Cod-Father , have pulled up to the moonlit dock of Kendrick Bay. Inside the bridge of the trawler the Iranians are clearly in charge. Their guns are still trained on the Russians.

The Russian Special Forces Commander Orlav is on a 512k encrypted satellite phone and says,

“My general wants to speak with you.” Orlav hands the phone to Iranian General Bahadur.

General Victor Zelin is in no mood for these two bit terrorists trying to cross him.

“Here is what you will do. You will stick to the plan. Take your men and their brides to America and leave this area. The FBI is enroute.”

“I am coming in to speak with you personally,” says General Bahadur.

“That is not possible.”

“Then we will kill your men one at a time.”

“What do you want?”

“I want my people to be able to detonate these weapons.”

“This was never agreed to. We must wait to see what the Americans will do.”

An Iranian grabs a GRU soldier and shoots him in the head. The Russian soldier falls to the ground with the mortal wound spraying blood out the far side of his head. Another Iranian grabs a second Russian soldier and says tell your general what happened.

The soldier refuses so the second Russian is shot as well.

Bokan Mountain

Russian Command & Control Center

Moscow automatically puts up on his large screen a series of 20 numbers and letters.

The digits fly by until all 20 become locked.

The largest screen turns red and a ten second countdown begins.

Even General Zellin, who’s a tough general who looks like he would kill his mother if ordered, looks a bit pale and horrified.

Since President Mironovich has taken total control, the general would be helpless to stop this countdown anyway.

Zayas Island, Canada

Iranian Fishing Boat

One of those rubber boats with a terrorist and a beautiful Russian woman, sit, while looking lovingly into each other’s eyes. One of those suitcases begins peeping. She jumps into the ocean as her Iranian “husband” fires shots at the water where she jumped. He looks at the beeping suitcase and tries to open it. It’s locked.

Small Boat

Seven miles due East

A couple of Canadian teens are in their parent’s pleasure boat. They are kissing on the back of the boat when a small nuclear mushroom cloud takes out the Iranian rubber boat with the nuclear suitcase.

This looks to be several miles away from them.

Spherical ripples rush across the water and an orange cloud lights up the night sky. The two lovers look at each other and simultaneously say,

“Cool!”

They go back to kissing.

Bokan Mountain

Russian Command & Control Center

Meanwhile, back in the control room the general punches up on his large screen indicators showing that the suitcases are being dispersed far away from the fishing trawlers where they were supposed to explode. The remaining rubber boats with nukes are going in several different directions.

“President Mironovich, are you seeing what I am seeing?” asks General Zelin.

There is no answer from the President’s office.
