What do you need to know about his team? Again, don’t believe the fake news industrial complex. There are too many people out there who don’t agree with the results of November 8, 2016, who would like to convince you that we run around the West Wing with our hair on fire. Not true. We laugh. We laugh at the coverage.

I remember one day coming in to Reince Priebus bent over a desk reading a newspaper with my boss, Steve Bannon, next to him, and they were belly laughing. And what were they laughing about? They said to each other, “Oh! Today you hate me ? I thought I was supposed to hate you !” It doesn’t even distract us. Why? Because in this White House, which will go down in history as the most pro-Israel White House ever , we have a job to do. We will reassert American leadership, and we will stand side by side with our allies and our closest friends, such as Israel, and we will win this war.

At this point, I must say thank you to all my friends out there, all our friends, the friends of the administration that have stood by us as we have been smeared mercilessly for months. The one thing that makes us realize they can never win is that when you look at who the people that tried to besmirch this president are—this president who has Orthodox Jewish grandchildren—just think about that for a moment—when you look at how they try to besmirch us, and when you look at what they have written in the past, you find a very, very interesting connection. The people who are most vile in their attacks against our administration are the same people who for years have supported President Obama’s disastrous Iran deal and the BDS movement. Now isn’t that interesting? Anti-Israeli attitudes today, such as the BDS movement, are the new anti-Semitism, and they should be treated as such.

So the president has an incredible team. What do you need to know about the president? Just a thumbnail sketch that I think I should share with you so you understand how that building really works. The president of the United States is a patriot. He loves this country. At the same time, he has a preternatural instinctual capability. This man’s gut instincts are frightening to watch because they are always right. We spent hours in the Oval Office yesterday having a robust debate on the Iran Deal, and he was not happy with this very bad deal that we inherited from the former administration. And his gut reaction is always the right reaction. He can size you up in seconds. You give him a palette of options. He’ll choose the right option almost instantly. That’s the president, a man of unerringly correct instincts.

Now what is the threat we face? It’s a significant threat, and here I’m just going to channel the boss. It’s always good to quote the boss. I think in a few years, the Warsaw speech just given by the president will go down in history as one of the most important speeches ever given by a Western leader. Why? Because it’s a reaffirmation of the first rule of warfare. There’s a famous man called Sun Tzu. Everybody can quote Sun Tzu incorrectly. They always say, “Sun Tzu! Yes! He said, ‘Know your enemy.’ ” No, he did not say, “Know your enemy.” Sun Tzu, the ancient Chinese strategist, said, “If you know the enemy, you will win only half of your battles. If you want to win all your battles, if you want to win the war, you must not simply know who the enemy is, but you must know who you are and what you are fighting for.”

The Warsaw speech was that moment. Why? Because what did the president say? At the site of the Warsaw uprising, in a country that lost twenty-five percent of its population during World War II, the president said the following: “The fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive. Do we have the confidence in our values to defend those values at any cost? Do we have the desire and the courage to preserve our civilization in the face of those who would subvert and destroy it?” He went on to say, “Our fight for the West does not begin on the battlefield. It begins in our minds, in our wills. It begins in our souls.”

The president, in Warsaw, reaffirmed who we are. He reaffirmed the values of our civilization, built upon Judeo-Christian heritage, the belief that we are made in the image of our Creator. That’s where our dignity comes from, that we believe in an objective truth. There is no relativism; there is no subjectivity about the truth. There is no, “Well the terrorist could have a point of view.” No, they endanger us, whether at a bus station in Tel Aviv or a nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

The key point here is that America’s enemies are Israel’s enemies. Israel’s enemies are our enemies. As the vice president said on the Day of National Independence for Israel—I was there when he said it—“Under President Trump, let me assure all of you, if the world knows one thing, it must know that America stands with Israel. Her cause is our cause. Her values are our values. Her fight is our fight.”

What is the bond between our two great nations? Here I’m going to steal from a good friend of mine. Jeff, if you’re out there listening, you know who you are. Jeff shared with me a sentence—he might have stolen it from somebody else—but it was a wonderful sentence. “America is the greatest nation man ever made; Israel is the greatest God ever made.”

At the end of the day, we understand, the president understands, and his team understands, that we will both be safe when the black flag of jihad, the black flag of ISIS, is as universally reviled across the world as the swastika is today.

Then, we will have won. Thank you.

APPENDIX TWO

Who Are the Jihadis?

We are still fighting the jihadis that were behind the largest terrorist attack in modern history. Al-Qaeda may have lost its headquarters in Afghanistan, and the Islamic State may have lost its “caliphate” now that Donald J. Trump is America’s commander in chief, but the final act in our war with the global jihadi movement has yet to play out.

Before coming to the White House, one of the highest honors I had was to serve as an expert for the prosecution in the trial of the Boston Marathon bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

My task was to demonstrate that the younger surviving bomber was not a pawn of his older brother, but a fully-fledged and willing member of the jihadi movement.

To that end, I was allowed unprecedented access to all the jihadist materials the FBI had discovered on Tsarnaev’s laptop so I could write a report on who he was, what he believed, and why he did what he did on that horrific day in Boston.

This report has never been published before.

It will help you understand whom we face, what they are planning, and what it will take to defeat them.

UNITED STATES V. DZHOKHAR TSARNAEV EXPERT REPORT OF DR. SEBASTIAN L. GORKA SUMMARY

This report is based upon my twenty-three years of experience in counterterrorism and academic analysis of terrorism as applied to the documents supplied to me by the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts as part of the case of US v. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

In the report, I cover:

• The characteristics and evolution of the modern Global Jihadist Movement.

• Key concepts of the Jihadist Movement and how they apply to its use of terrorism.

• The role of Jihadist media and the use of the internet to recruit and radicalize individuals to become terrorists, and to disseminate the techniques and tradecraft used in terrorist attacks.

• The way in which the Jihadist Movement has exploited geopolitical events around the world.

• The significance of evidence found in the possession of the accused as related to the Jihadist Movement and acts of terrorism.
