Скульптурное изображение Якова-Соломона, водруженное на гроб с останками усопшего монарха, таким образом, персонифицировало самого короля. Это был важный сдвиг в концепции королевских похорон, когда усопший монарх воспринимался или должен был восприниматься без каких бы то ни было соотнесений с обобщенным образом правителя. При этом прежний дуализм тюдоровских эффигий исчезал.
