“Good afternoon. I am Senator Forbes.”

“Hi, Senator.” The woman answered.

“Mom! I know him. He saved my life from that man who kidnapped me.” Her daughter shouted then Senator knew that the woman was the Doctor’s wife.

“May I come in?” The woman was hesitant, but he allowed the Senator to stay in their living room and gave him a cup of tea.

“So, Senator. To what do we owe your visit?” The woman said as she sat across the Senator.

“I’m here to confess something about your husband.” Senator Colette said.

“What do you mean? He has an affair?” The woman got curious.

“I’m afraid further than such. Your husband helped do a crime.”

“Are you crazy?” The woman was furious.

“I’m not, and I’m telling the truth. An innocent nurse is in jail because of false accusations that your husband did several years ago. Then, now, he killed the president because Ariana Marie ordered.” Senator said then he looked straight into the woman’s eyes.

“Lies.”

“Why don’t you ask him.” Senator dared.

“Stop. Please, leave.” The woman requested then tears fell her on her cheek.

“Ariana Marie fooled people, and if she can do it to your husband, what more to less fortunate people? I believe he’s a victim, but please help me. The truth will set us all free.” Senator Colette begged on his knees, but the woman slapped him hard.

“Get out! Don’t ever come back.” The woman shouted.

Senator Colette stood up then walked out of the living area to the hallway. He was about to exit when the door opened. He was surprised to see the doctor was standing outside.

“What are you doing here?” The doctor asked.

“To ask you to admit to your crimes.” Senator Colette begged again, but the doctor laughed then closed the door.

“You think I’m that easy? Are you doing it to replace President Ariana?” The Doctor asked, but Senator Colette smirked.

“I’m not, Doctor. Your President is evil, and you allowed her to use you.”

“You don’t know how it feels to have nothing because you were born rich, Senator. You don’t know how it feels to look at your dying mother, but couldn’t afford to buy her medicines.” Then the Doctor punched Senator Colette’s face. He fell to the floor, but the doctor didn’t stop hitting. The doctor’s wife tried to stop her husband then pushed him away from Senator Colette.

“Enough! You’ll kill him!” The woman shouted.

“Kill me! Like what you did to the president!” Senator yelled.

“Tell your wife what you did! She deserves to know!” Senator Colette added. The doctor looked at his wife then he ran towards the Senator to beat him even more, but his wife blocked the way.

“Is it true?” The woman asked with teary eyes then their daughter appeared at the hall.

“Mom? Dad? Are you fighting?” The doctor was panting, then collapsed on the floor.

“I’m sorry.” He uttered then cried. The Doctor kept on saying his sorry as his wife came and hugged him. However, the Doctor pushed her wife then pulled a gun from the back of his jeans. He aimed at Senator Colette then a gunshot surrounded the household.

The Security Head appeared at the door while holding a gun. The doctor’s wife and daughter ran towards him. They begged the security head to don’t kill the Doctor.

“I won’t kill the Doctor. We need him to tell the truth. It was just a shot on his leg, and he can heal it for sure. You can correct your mistakes, too, Doctor. It’s never too late. Look at your family. They don’t deserve to live in lies.” The Security head stated then the doctor dropped his gun and burst into tears again.

“Please help me how.” The doctor uttered on bended knees.

Senator Colette thanked the Security Head for saving his life. He got enraged that Senator Colette did it alone.

“You’re lucky I got your call.” The Security Head said.

“Where have you been? I couldn’t reach you.” Senator answered.

“I was packing. I’m moving out of the White House.”

“Why?”

“I resigned. Ariana isn’t the same person I used to know when were kids. I can’t work for her anymore.” The Security Head said in a somber tone. Senator Colette understood the situation, but they still have one more thing to do. Everybody makes mistakes, but the US government deserves a president that has a good heart.
