This work is an experiment in connecting the four canonical Gospels into one narrative. The content of the work consists only of words and phrases found in the four Gospels; consequently the resulting text is entirely assembled from the canonical Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Hence its name: “United Gospel”.

27:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? (Jn 3:4)

27:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (Jn 3:5)

27:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (Jn 3:6)

30:2 Added yet this above all, that himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him, and shut up John in prison. (Mt 14:3; Mk 6:17; Lk 3:20)

32:7 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. (Jn 4:10)

32:8 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? (Jn 4:11)

32:9 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? (Jn 4:12)

32:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: (Jn 4:13)

32:11 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. (Jn 4:14)
