Friedman, at that time a self-declared Keynesian, would become famous as an advocate of free markets, but he and AR continued to be at odds (Murray Rothbard, “Milton Friedman Unraveled,” 1971, reprinted in Journal of Libertarian Studies , Fall 2002).
