ABOUT THE AUTHOR
JAMES GLEICK (www.around.com) was born in New York City in 1954. He graduated from Harvard College and worked at the New York Times for ten years as a reporter and editor. His six previous books include Chaos (1987) and The Information (2011), as well as biographies of Isaac Newton and Richard Feynman. They have been translated into thirty languages.
