DAVID BALDACCImade a splash on the literary scene with the publication of his first novel, Absolute Power . A major motion picture adaptation followed, with Clint Eastwood as its director and star. LINWOOD BARCLAYhad written several novels by the time he was in his early twenties, but no one wanted to publish them (this may have been because, according to Linwood, they were not all that good).
