Uranus is very close to your Ascendant this month, within orb of a conjunction. This is especially so with those of you born early in the Sign of Aries, from March 20 to 25. This is manifesting a restlessness, a desire for change, a desire for total freedom. Those of you involved with Aries romantically (especially those born early in the Sign) should take note and give them a lot of space.

Aside from finance and love, the major interests in the month ahead are intellectual interests and communication, home and family. Try to avoid power struggles in your career this month—you don’t need to fight. Ride out the rough spots. Things will change in coming months.

Retrograde activity is increasing this month and for you this is a challenge. Yes, you like things done quickly—yesterday—but this is a month for learning patience. Forty per cent of the planets are Retrograde now. Make haste slowly. Be more methodical in everything you do. Since it is summer and you are in a party mood, it is a good period for a vacation. Not much is happening in the world anyway, so you might as well enjoy yourself.

Friendships, group activities and organizations are still a major focus this month, as they have been all year. But now, all the planets involved with these things are Retrograde so you need to be patient with your friends. Friendships—or relations with a group or organization—seem to be going backwards instead of forwards, but there is a review going on; everything will work out well in the end.

Most of the planets are below the horizon of the Horoscope and your 4th House of Home and Family is very strong until the 22nd. So, continue to de-emphasize the career and give more attention to the home and family. If you have a choice between making that extra deal or being there for the kids or parents, be there for the kids and parents. Other deals will come. Now you need your emotional harmony. (Of course you can’t avoid your career altogether, but where there are choices, focus on the home.)

Health is not up to its usual standards until the 22nd, but there are no serious issues that we can see here. Just lower vitality. This makes a person more vulnerable. So rest and relax more and enhance your health by giving more attention to the stomach and breasts (from the 3rd to the 17th) and to the heart (after the 17th). Diet is more of an issue health-wise until the 17th, as is emotional health. Work to keep your moods constructive and upbeat. If there are health problems they seem connected to family disharmony (or disharmony with children) or to unresolved traumas from the past. Restore the harmony and chances are the health problem will just fade away. Your normal exuberant good health returns after the 22nd. It’s like magic—a shot of adrenalin. The Sun moves into fiery Leo and you are restored.

We mentioned that you are in a party period now, especially after the 22nd. It is another of your yearly personal pleasure peaks. Enjoy. For singles this is a period for love affairs. But communication and intellectual interests are also important to you. And this is a good period to make those calls you need to make and write those letters that you owe to people. It is also good for taking courses in subjects that interest you—and singles might find more than education at these courses or lectures.

Finances are not a big issue this month. I read this as a good sign. You’ve basically achieved your financial goals and seem satisfied. Like last month though, good communication—good marketing—good use of the media—is very important.

Home and family are still an important focus, more important than your career. For a time (this is only temporary) you seem content to be humble and let others be in charge. You just want to be happy. There could be important renovations or repairs going on in the home after the 24th. A parent or parent figure could be contemplating surgery, although it looks more like a cosmetic type.

The simple pleasures of the home—far from the peaks of power—seem alluring to you. A home-cooked meal; watching the children play catch; sitting in the living room watching TV. There is something very wonderful about these things. Even love, for singles, seems to happen at home or close to home. Perhaps Mr or Miss Right comes through a family introduction or at a family gathering. Romantic evenings at home, far from places of glitz and glamour, strike exactly the right tone. Giving and receiving emotional support is more important than material gifts. Singles are looking for partners with strong family values now. This changes after the 26th, but this is the way it is for most of the month.

Financial opportunities come at home too. Family seems very supportive financially. There are earnings opportunities in real estate and the family business (either your own or someone else’s). Earning opportunities come through family connections. Most probably you are spending more on the home and family as well.

There is a Lunar Eclipse on August 6 in your 11th House. This will test your friendships, and there have been many new ones of late and they need some testing. The good ones will survive while the flawed ones will dissolve for a time. There are some dramas at home and with the children (or those who are like children to you). And, as with every Lunar Eclipse, repairs could be needed in the home. There are shakeups and upheavals in organizations that you belong to, and this perhaps changes your relationship with these organizations. This eclipse is benign to you but it won’t hurt to take a reduced schedule anyway. There are probably dramas in the lives of friends.

Retrograde activity is still strong this month, so continue to make haste slowly. Patience, patience, patience is the name of the game now. Pluto will start to move forwards on the 11th after many months of Retrograde motion and this will clarify issues involving debt, estates and taxes. But Mercury will be Retrograde from the 7th to the 27th and there are still 40 per cent of the planets moving Retrograde for most of the month.

Mercury’s Retrograde suggests more homework and care with regard to health regimes and dietary changes. These things need to be studied before you implement them. For jobseekers it suggests a need for more study of job offers that come—and by the way they will come. This is an excellent month for jobseekers.

Health is a major interest this month. And health is basically good. After the 22nd you need to rest and relax more. You can enhance your health by giving more attention to the kidneys and hips (until the 18th) and to the intestines afterwards. Drive more defensively early in the month, and be more safety conscious in the home.
