We mentioned earlier that the Eastern sector of your Horoscope is overwhelmingly dominant this year. In addition Mars, your ruling planet, will be in your own sign for more than six months – from June 28 onwards. While it is natural for you to be independent and self-willed, this year it could be too much of a good thing. The tendency will be to ignore or run roughshod over others, perhaps to demean them. It is true that your way is the best way for you these days, but others still need to be treated with love and respect. You can go your own way without offending others. It will take some spiritual work though.

You begin your year in the midst of a yearly career peak. Your 10th house of career is easily the strongest in the Horoscope, with at least half and sometimes 60 per cent of the planets either there or moving through there. So the career is successful – but very demanding. You are focused on your career as you should be, but this focus can cause some problems at home. A lunar eclipse on the 10th occurs in your 4th house of family and shakes things up. This can bring dramas in the lives of family members, and in the lives of parents and parent figures (both sets), and often a need for repairs in the home. Siblings and sibling figures also seem affected by the eclipse; they are forced to make important financial changes because of some disruption or unexpected event.

This eclipse looks pretty strong, so take it nice and easy during this time. You should rest and relax more all month – especially until the 20th, but particularly during this eclipse period. The problem is that the demands of the career are very great now and it might not be so easy to ‘rest and relax’. Career and home issues must be handled, but focus on the essentials. Don’t sweat the small stuff, as the saying goes.

Health is an issue this month, especially until the 20th. The eclipse impacts Mercury, your health planet, so there are changes to your health regime and perhaps changes in your doctors. Sometimes there are health scares; if so make sure to get a second opinion. Later in the month – even next month – will be a better time to get these second opinions. The body is not a ‘thing’ but a dynamic energy system. It responds to the energy world. Tests taken when energy is not right can often show things that are not really there.

Enhance your health this month through back and knee massage until the 16th, and through calf and ankle massage afterwards. Most importantly, maintain high energy levels.

There can be job changes this month, either within your present company or with another one. There are shakeups in your career as the eclipse affects your career planet Saturn. This often manifests as shakeups in the upper management where you work, in changes of company policy, dramas in the lives of bosses and changes in your industry. Sometimes the government changes regulations that impact on your industry.

If you got through last month with your health and sanity intact, pat yourself on the back. You did very well. Health still needs watching but it is much less stressful than last month. The month ahead is a strong social month. Your 11th house of friends is powerful until the 19th, and on the 7th your love planet Venus enters your sign and stays there for the rest of the month. Venus in your sign is a happy transit. She bestows beauty and social grace. You look good. You have a flair for fashion. Love and romantic opportunities pursue you, rather than the other way around. You have love on your terms. Those of you who are married or in a relationship will find that the spouse, partner or current love is unusually devoted and eager to please.

Venus’s move into your sign is also a wonderful financial transit. Money and financial opportunity come to you. You don’t need to run after it. Often this transit indicates financial windfalls, and just as often it shows clothing or accessories coming to you.

On the 16th Mars, the ruler of your Horoscope, enters your 10th house. This shows career success, but you are earning it. You are on top, in charge. People look up to you. People aspire to be like you.

Mars’s move into your career house puts all the planets in the Eastern sector of your chart – even the Moon will move to the East on the 18th. This is highly unusual. You are at the peak of your personal independence (and this lasts into next month too). You’re self-reliant and in charge of your destiny. You’re not much in need of others’ approval. You know what’s best for you and you should follow that path. Others might not agree initially, but they will come round. So make those changes that need to be made. You have a lot of personal power. You can and should have things your way.

Venus, your love and financial planet, will have her solstice from the 8th to the 10th. She pauses in the heavens and then changes direction (in latitude). So, a pause in finance and love will happen, followed by a change of direction.

Spirituality has been strong all year but now – since February 19 – it is even stronger. Your 12th house is very powerful. You are inspired from on high, especially on the 8th and 9th. This is a period for supernatural experiences and for enhanced ESP (extra-sensory perception).

All the planets are still in the East this month – only the Moon will move through your Western social sector, from the 4th to 16th. Your own house becomes powerful, too, from the 20th onwards. Continue to make the changes that need to be made and create the conditions for your happiness. Like last month, you can and should have things your way. There is nothing wrong in following your self-interest, so long as you’re not damaging others. Your self-interest is just as important as another’s.

Though health still needs watching – you can’t take things for granted – your health is much improved over January. On the 20th the Sun moves into your sign and you begin one of your yearly personal pleasure peaks. A time for fun and for indulging the body. This is a good time to get the body in the shape that you would like. Fun and leisure opportunities will come to you and you’ll probably take them.
