Chapter 2

Make it personal

While it is very good to speak these Bible promises I always teach that people should make these promises of God personal for themselves. As if these promises of God are written down specifically for you ……………….

That´s the reason why I inserted this part here before we move forward with other promises of God.

What do I mean by making the Word personal for you? Well, when I was so sick having that terrible pain in my body, day and night, and every hour in between, when my weight was 40kg with my bones showing, my hair fell out and was brittle. I was not able to eat nor drink normally especially starchy foods, nuts, vegetables, fruits. I was weak and infirm with so many strange symptoms. Even showing on my thighs as eczema - you probably got the picture by now - but it could sometimes feel as if I was the only one suffering like this.

Yet, that is not true at all.

So I started making the Word personal for me by placing myself in the Bible scriptures using my name. Every single scripture I used to speak, were written down for me: Cindy Theresia Mezas. I made them my own. So on every colored cardboard paper where I had written down the promises of God, I started to put my name or initials on them. The same I did with all the promises of God I printed out, and I placed my name in the verse. Although this chapter is about making it personal for yourself, you can also do this when it is your child, for instance. You are speaking the promises of God. Place their name inside of the promise or your business if it has to do with the blessing, or you can place your ministry name inside of the promise of God.

I will give you an example.

Examples:

Let us take: 1 Peter 2:24 NKJV

“By His stripes you were healed”

Becomes:

“By His stripes I Cindy Theresia Mezas was healed.”

“By His stripes I CTM was healed.”

Do you see how this promise now becomes personal and I made it mine by putting my name or initials inside of it.

It is as if I have placed myself within the scripture. The scripture then becomes a part of me, I identify myself with this promise. When we would take a picture out of this it would look like the following:

See Jesus standing in front of you and now you walk up to Him and step inside of Him. Now you are in Him. In this same way you step into it, put yourself into the promises of God. Place yourself in it.

Let us take another promise of God.

Psalms 84:11 NKJV

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”

Becomes:

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from Cindy Theresia Mezas who walks uprightly.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from me CTM who walks uprightly.”

Do you see here again it becomes personal. While it is very great that I placed my name in these promises of God, this little book is written in order for YOUto do the same as I did and make these promises personal for yourself.
