VoIP – построенная на базе протокола IP технология передачи речи по сетям с пакетной коммутацией. Используется для экономии средств при междугородных и международных звонках. Технология допускает интеграцию речи и данных. Одним из известных примеров приложений, использующих данную технологию, является Skype .
