Мы интересуемся: — Отсутствие принимаемых мер и ответов на заданные вопросы говорит о безразличии перечисленных адресатов к репутации ВМФ России?». — Наш коллективный труд по подготовке книги, длившийся более 2-х лет, издание книги А4 формата 630 страниц и 458 иллюстраций, критика и анализ, получившие положительные рецензии двух профессоров, — не нужны?

В сложившейся ситуации «вакууме — без ответов» планируем перевод настоящего издания книги на английский язык. Продолжаем искать людей, способных более внятно объяснить ответственным лицам по специальности, то, что за пол года после выхода книги не удалось объяснить нам».

On the field of view of the author — the activities of the National Maritime Museum of Russia (CNM), St. Petersburg. Critical reflections on the losses of the Museum, memory and traditions of Russian military glory. Questions to the museum management are formulated on behalf of a simple visitor.

The first book on this topic (July 2019), having been delivered to the offices of high officials of the Navy and the Ministry of Defense of Russia, has no response.

This book is the second attempt to draw the attention of ordinary readers and responsible persons to the changes that have occurred in the walls of the institution formed by Peter the Great in 1709.

The author’s interests are not limited to the last 30 years of the organization’s life, its current policy and relations with citizens. Along with excursions into history —

«how it was», much attention is paid to the analysis of today’s Museum policy and its «portrait — «how it became…».

Third edition, revised and expanded.

The book has 115 illustrations.

Review

The book of Rupasov Pavel Georgievich «SAINT. PETERSBURG. 310 years of the Central Naval Museum of Russia» — the title of the full version of the book — is dedicated to the Central Naval Museum (CNM).

It includes a brief history of the museum, a critical evaluation of the activities of the modern management of the museum in a comparative historical aspect, as well as articles on topical issues of the development of the modern fleet and the historiography of the Black Sea Fleet.

The book is written in good Russian, it contains well-founded and factual arguments.

The book contains critical remarks, which, however, do not seek to denigrate the actions of the museum management, but are aimed at improving the work of the museum and strengthening its authority in society.

Analysis of the facts given in the book shows that this aim is quite achievable. The book is recommended for publication in the maximum possible circulation. The book is well illustrated and educationally significant for the modern reader.

There are persons among them, which are awarded with of Hero of the Soviet Union and Hero of Russia, orders and medals of the USSR and the Russian Federation.

Our book educational project, which mainly deals with the history of maritime affairs in Russia, particularly welcomes the participation of schoolchildren, students and pupils of military and naval history clubs in the almanacs.
